No problem is too big or too small, and sometimes we just need someone to talk to who is outside of the situation and can offer a fresh, new perspective without fear that they'll break our confidence. As a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience, I provide a supportive space for self-discovery and personal growth. Originally from Hampton Roads (Virginia Beach, VA), I’ve grown up around the military. But I’ve also worked and lived in North Carolina and Florida, as an independent practitioner in private practice and in my career working for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense with both civilian and military clients. I'm licensed in all three states and currently offer both teletherapy (video streaming and phone) appointments as well as in-person sessions as required by insurance. I’m the wife of a Navy Veteran and have found great satisfaction in helping civilians, military members, and their families over the course of my career.
To make therapy affordable, I accept Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Champ VA, Cigna, Medicare, Tricare East, United Healthcare/Optum, and low self-pay rates at $65.00/hr. To make therapy accessible, I offer online scheduling 24/7, quick response times, and flexible daytime, late evening, and weekend appointments.
My clients are children, adolescents, and adults, couples, and families, and I offer a variety of proven and effective, empirically based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Approaches for Anxiety and Stress, as well as Solution-Focused and short-term approaches depending on your needs. In our first session, we will explore what works or doesn’t work in your life and relationships as we identify goals that will help you better express yourself, your needs, and your purpose in life.
